Climathon Rotterdam: Vernieuwende ideeën voor een Waterproef Prins Alexander

Rotterdam Prins Alexander Waterproef!
De inwoners van Prins Alexander weten het; als er weer een hoosbui komt, is de kans groot dat zij last krijgen van wateroverlast in hun straat, tuin en misschien ook wel in hun woning. Deze wijk ligt tussen de 5 en 7 meter onder zeespiegel. Daardoor wordt het een soort badkuip bij extreme hoosbuien. Veel inwoners zoeken samen met gemeente, bedrijfsleven en andere organisaties naar oplossingen om wateroverlast tegen te gaan. Stichting Hart van Prins Alexander gaat nog een stap verder. Zij gaat in november 2020 ons programma de Climathon inzetten om – samen met de iedereen die er woont en werkt – de meest vernieuwende oplossingen te bedenken als het gaat om wateroverlast.

13 november 2020 – Online klimaatmarathon Climathon
De mooiste ideeën ontstaan door zoveel mogelijk mensen samen te brengen en samen te praten over de plannen voor de toekomst. Dat is precies wat er gaat gebeuren tijdens de Climathon op 13 november 2020. En niet alleen in Rotterdam; de Climathon is een wereldwijde duurzaamheidschallenge. Honderden steden over de hele wereld gaan die dag oplossingen bedenken voor een betere toekomst. Dit jaar gaat het volledig online.

Hoe houden Rotterdammers droge voeten?
Niet alleen de inwoners en iedereen die er werkt worden uitgenodigd om mee te denken. Ook Gemeente Rotterdam en andere organisaties die zich met waterbeheer bezighouden doen mee. Zij gaan vertellen wat zij doen om wateroverlast te voorkomen en hoe belangrijk het is om gezamenlijk de schouders eronder te zetten. U kunt zich via de website van Stichting Hart voor Prins Alexander aanmelden voor deze Climathon.

Water Fenomena 2021
De vernieuwende ideeën van de Climathon worden tijdens Water Fenomena gepresenteerd en doorontwikkeld. Water Fenomena 2021 is een drie maanden durende publieksmanifestatie om samen te kijken, te verwonderen en te beleven hoe we onze voeten droog blijven houden en ons blijven inzetten voor schoon water, voor nu én later.
